Student Scholarships
Hydro Tasmania offers scholarships to eight under-graduates through the University of Tasmania.
The scholarships are available to students with a sound academic record entering the third year of the Bachelor of Engineering degree and provides $4,000 a year for the final two years.
The scholarship also provides the students with the opportunity to spend their 12-week professional development placement with us if sufficient places are available.

Employee Scholarship
The Sir Allan Knight Scholarship is sponsored by the CEO and is an annual award offering substantial financial assistance for an employee to participate in an industry exchange. The winner has the opportunity to develop his/her professional skills, experience and contacts with other organisations based on a proposal that aligns with the aims of the business. It has been awarded in a variety of disciplines and levels throughout the business.
2010 Sir Allan Knight Scholarship
The 2010 scholarship was awarded to a team comprised of Suzan Haward, Nicola Jones and Mark McLean.
This team is united through the members’ expertise in coaching and organisational development and commitment to the development of others. The scholarship was awarded to investigate the techniques, methodologies, and metrics used by highly successful customer-driven organisations to develop a coaching culture that supports organisational development initiatives so that Hydro Tasmania can leverage more from the extensive development initiatives it offers employees.
