Hydro Tasmania's 2011 Graduate Program applications open 13 March 2010, closing 29 March at 9 am.

In 2011 we are especially seeking:

Our 3-year Graduate Program provides the development opportunities necessary to operate as a well-rounded professional. Our graduate recruits are essential to the long-term success and sustainability of our business.

The Graduate Program includes:

  • rotations through a variety of technical experiences
  • training in personal development and leadership
  • mentoring
  • membership of professional associations and improving qualifications
  • social events and networking activities.

Key dates

Short-listed candidates notified from 7 April 2010
Interviews conducted from 19 April 2010
Offers made from May 2010

Successful candidates will:

  • be able to operate effectively as an individual or part of a team
  • be flexible and adapt easily to change
  • have well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • have customer service skills, client focus and the ability to deliver on customers' needs
  • be authorised to work full time in Australia for the whole period of the Graduate Program, commencing 7 February 2011.

Graduate application process

  1. Candidates submit application to Hydro Tasmania
  2. Short-listed candidates selected for interviews
  3. Selected candidates take part in a series of behavioural interviews with a a panel of three Hydro Tasmania employees
  4. Reference checking is conducted with candidates' referees
  5. Offers are made to successful candidates.
